January 28, 2004 Press Release: MVC Invites Public Input on Char

At its Commission meeting to be held on Thursday evening, February 5 (8 p.m. at the Commission offices), the MVC will hold a forum to hear public comment that will help it clarify its policy on receiving contributions from a blind charitable trust. The creation of the trust to help fund the operations of the Martha's Vineyard Commission has been the subject of public discussion. The Commission invites opinions as to whether, in the future, it should accept donations from the blind trust and if so, what guidelines should apply to these donations.
