Built Environment DRI Policy

The Built Environment Policy for DRI Review is one of a series of policies produced by the MVC to assist applicants, town boards, the Commission, and members of the public with respect to the MVC’s review of Developments of Regional Impact. This policy is given to applicants to help them prepare their DRI submissions, and for use by the Commission in assessing proposals. This policy is based on past practices by the Commission, wording of previous DRI conditions, policies of various Island town commissions, and other best practices. The final version reflects comments from Island historic district commissions, members of the public, the staff of the Massachusetts Historical Commission, and MVC Commissioners.
